Ibiza
Ibiza (Iviza) is the third largest island of the Balearic islands. It is located in the Mediterranean and belongs to Spain. It is famous for its popular tourist center and its loud and wild nightlife. The population of Ibiza of 84,000 only everyday attracts millions visitors. Ibiza became very famous after 1960’s when their cult hippy leader selected it as the center of the subculture. Since that time the island put itself from the neighbour resorts and became popular among young fans of wild relax to distraction, and the mixture adds splendid and ultrafashionable atmosphere reached its acme to the night outdoor fete.
The main pleasure of the island is in its main clubs: “Privilege” (the biggest nightclub in the world), “Es Paradis” (famous for its water parties), “Amnesia”, “Eden”, “Space” and “Pacha”. Last, but not least the Cafe Del Mar in San-Antonio city – place of romantic meeting with dawn accompanied by soft instrumental music.
If you think that Ibiza is only mixture of wild life and nightclubs, forget about this idea. The island with its rough notched seashore is home of dozens fantastic white-sand beaches, secluded bays and gulfs, villages with small white houses hidden between sheer cliffs, and green hill landscape.
One of the main beaches of the island is Benirras, located in the northern area. A pretty nice view to the “God’s finger” cliff is opened from this site. Also this beach is famous for its restaurants and shops - a perfect place to find ultra-stylish clothes, different attributes of wild club life, discs and vinyl.
The island’s main city has the same name - Ibiza. The town was settled by Carthaginians 2,500 years ago. It’s located at a fantastic landscape next to cool beaches of Es Kavalete and Ses Saliense. As the chief town, it plays the key role in nightlife. Crazy mixture of medieval streets and modern clubs attracts by its narrow streets’ romantics and Gothic buildings as the temple of X century.
San-Antonio is the chief resort town of the island, located in 10 miles from the Ibiza capital. A nice place is marred by high bouidlings and ultra-modern hotels during last years, so it lost its inimitable charm. Although there’s still much to see if you like small bays surrounded by a few beaches with white sand. Come early here to take your place – if you’re late, every part of them will be occupied by night kings of Ibiza. Only 3 miles from the place is located a satellite island Formentera, where you can get by a ferry. This harbor is less famous, so a small romantic corner can be found here even in rush season.
Someone of great people said once that such island as Ibiza are just one of thousand. Photographers and moviemakers flows together here to catch unbelievably beautiful landscapes and villas of Ibiza. Everybody who likes wild parties in disco clubs should certainly visit this magic part of the world!
